Did anyone else notice…

…that Sen. Obama did not really answer the question Rick Warren asked him? The one about conception’s beginning? Last I heard, our executive, legislative or judicial systems do not operate as scientists or theologians. And Obama is neither of those things.

So why skirt the question? When we vote for the president in the USA, we are not voting for a scientist or a theologian. We are voting for a leader. A leader is someone with vision and understanding of what s/he wants to do in the best interests of the followers. When you can’t give a straight answer to a question, you show me your leadership capabilities are weak.

Plus, how many of us – honestly – will cast our votes based on that one single issue (or some other single issue)? Respect our intelligence enough to be real with us, even briefly.
